I just want to reitterate how much I'm loving this AAR. Very well written and for a good nation. Long live the Doge!

Excellent AAR so far, but there's one thing that i keep noticing. Seems to me that Florence is soon going to turn in a monarchy. The very long dogeships, waning trade power, expansion to non-core provinces and centralizing power are leading it to a path of kings or dictators. Are you planing on becoming a monarchy, or do the present circumstances not give you much choice other than building your army so you don't get annexed.

In Meiou if you want to switch from Monarchy to Republic or the other way, it needs to be through a revolution.

Revolutions can be long and bloody.
