Have a watch of that?

It is worrying Me..... I'm starting to wonder.. :/
I spotted that too and started a thread on that. Some people don't thinks its an issue, some do. To me its a blatant bug.

Yes, there are no animations for vehicles leaving/entering garages. So cars and trains kinda just appear and disappear. I'm pretty sure they don't the resources (money, modellers, animators) in order to create these kinds of details all throughout the city in various ways. I also saw that the train goes inside another train the first time I watched the video. I've seen a few times where cars run through each other while turning. It bothers me a little bit, but won't take away my fun from playing the game. I'd rather they run through each other a bit than create permanent gridlock problems, because that will impact enjoyment of the game as buildings burn down and shops stop making money cause people can't get to them.

I'm hoping they will iron out some of these problems as time goes on, but even now it is more functional than some other city builders out there as far as traffic goes.

Yeah true..

I noticed it too, and mentioned it in another thread. I've also noticed how cars tailgate and are way too close together when moving in traffic. Some scary cutting in going on!
The solution would be crossover tracks and/or well placed signals. To me, the train thing is a 'necessary evil'. This isn't a train sim, nor is everything "realistic".

Damn, I was hoping for trainsim!!!!!!

As you've been told a "bug" is not a subjective thing. Just because you don't like somethign doesn't make it a bug. That word has an actual meaning. If you don't like something then say you don't like it.

I can't see them fixing this up before 1.0 release but they might. Depends how old the copy was it might be even already fixed. But its basic function does work and I can see them adding more too it overtime. Maybe quick fix would to be adding some sort of overhead shelter to hide the trains.

I honestly don't see it as a bug but more of a basic engineering prospective feature. It might need more polishing or changes but it works as is.

Another solution, since you can't have the people cross the tracks to the other platform, is, instead of it just dead-ending at the station, have a loop on the other side. Train arrives, unloads, does the loop facing the other way, people load up, train leaves. The problem isn't only the double track, it's the two-platform station. Having two tracks leading up to the station is fine, but the station itself should only have one track and one platform. Now just fix it so Train #2 waits till Train #1 leaves on one of the double tracks and problems solved.

Train going into other train before it de-spawns - kind of a bug/imperfection. Will most likely not change before launch.

Train "popping" in and out of nowhere - we don't have the resources or time to focus on that kind of details at this point :)

100% understandable. Maybe one the modders can make sort of a roof or something for it and see how it turns out. I'm sure down the road this might get updated as one those attractive updates. For me it looks just fine I guess I mostly play games that don't always have the worlds best visuals but have great functionality.

I'm glad this is viewed as a bug. But is it really that difficult to make the train spawn on the other side? Just make the trains always drive on the right (or left) side of the track, and the problem is solved. (I would love to see one train coming in as the other one depart. It's lovely!)

I don't regard this as a bug. It's just one of the limitations of being a game :)

I think the issue is more that they are in crunch time and they would like to fix it but depending how they coded it could take 1-2 hours or it could take several. But remember team of say 9 people who work directly on the game maybe only 2 of them are programmers. Maybe the one who worked on the train is right now focusing on bug fixing for 1.0 etc. I bet its been on a list but prob way low on the list as functional but not pleasant looking. But hard crashes and major simulation bugs are things they are working on so launch goes smoother.

Id be surprised if there are barely any bugs right after launch. Expecting another wave of complaints..

Nooo! I hope there is some fun crazy bugs overtime so I can look back and have a good laugh thinking like remember back when they had that crazy simulation bug where all the Cims ran into the road and started to spin in circles! Silly stuff like that is why I love games and testing or being part their first release.

What about if we loop the train tracks into a circil with not end. will the train continue its journey following the track?
i assume it de-spawned because the rails were ending, but if they continue? will trains going forward until reaching an "end"?
what about train route, how does it work?

Hmm, if it loops in a circle I guess it will go round and round indefinitely.

Actually haven't dived too deeply into how trains work, will go in game and check.
