Yes but look at the original thread topic.
I have this dream of unifying the kori of Satsuma and its daimyo title under my personal character, leader of the Shimazu... between wars and defections this proves quite hard. Sometimes my heir has only produced daughters... up to 5 in a row but no sons and there's always risk of civil war.
With this new event of "please grant me a title" you really have to be careful.
I don't know but it feels rather bad to play with pencil and paper at hand. You must follow your promises but if you are in a moment of peace you must TAKE NOTE of who you promised a title to, in the meanwhile ALL THE OTHERS KEEP ASKING AND YOU MUST REFUSE BECAUSE YOU PROMISED THE FIRST TITLE TO SOMEONE ELSE.
This means loss of attitude.
And we still have some more loss of attitude when this first problem is connected to the second: EXPOSE PLOT (internal to the clan) NOT MAKING LOSE HONOR TO THE PLOTTER.
So the best you can play is still a constant loss of honor and attitude while your masters hardly ever affect in positive or negative the attitude of AI vassals when they are sent on a mission.
With the transfer vassal working as it does right now, you ALSO keep losing honor. I'm just out of a quick test game where I've given the Daimyo of Osumi (new daimyo of course because the original one defected, made civil war and was defeated) the Kokujin of Taka (which is in the Kuni of Satsuma). I asked him FOUR TIMES the title of Kokujin of Taki after giving him gifts (money) and I don't remember how many more titles (One extra daimyo in the island West of Hizen and several Kokujin titles in the north of Kyushu).
He refused time and time again with me losing honor by merely asking and him seemingly losing honor too at the refusal but not nearly as much as he should.
Can you imagine a japanese clan leader ordering his vassal to give HIM one of his provinces and refusing? It should generate a MAJOR collapse in relations with immediate option of Seppuku/civil war, not just this very slight loss of honor on the vassal's behalf.
Ultimately, I gained the title of Kokujin of Taka... only to perform seppuku shortly after (probably further honor lost by ninja attack, don't know). That sucks big time.
The solution could have been to make sure the Daimyo of Osumi names his Kokujin in Taki (something he didn't despite having many lands) and so have him (with this request) transfer his vassal to me. Then I can more easily ask this Kokujin (mine after the transfer) to give his land to me. Kokujins should NOT be so troublesome with revoke title as Daimyos.
Again, despite the Daimyo title being so important, in Sengoku it's treated like the Kokujin a mere title with low honor increase on the leader's behalf and low attitude improvement. Too much lower than it should. Of course with all the aforementioned events sooner or later your own daimyos (who should revere you as a God after you grant them the title of Daymio!) will revolt against you.
I really really wait feverishly for this patch...
