ive been recently building a massive tourist area and with about 10+ (and counting) tourist train stations in side my city, has a toll with traffic... not inside my city but outside. Eventually trains pile up taking a few minutes to leave/ despawn outside the boundary’s. Please fix this... evidence on my xbox profile clips LAIDAN22. also live too on mixer if you need to see it live.

Anyone have any solutions or have encountered this issue? I think I’m the first to deal with trains outside my city taking awhile to despawn or leave. On adv I have 10-20 trains leaving every 3 mins per exit and soon the traffic piles up outside my city limits, it’s like they are entering another persons city.

this is a very common issue. you need to separate your internal and your external rail networks. if you have Mass Transit, use one of your train/metro/monorail stations and have one platform connect to your external network and the other one connect to your internal network.

It’s not traffic in my city, when trains are leaving the city there are so many leaving that out side the boundary area...

i managed to get screen recording of the issue from my xbox, as you can see time is unfrozen and trains leaving or already outside the city cant leave because of other trains not de-spawning or exiting the map

my transportation is not the issue, i have very good transportation and have my lines set up very well. if you need evidence of my transportation stats to i can get a recording of it by tomorrow before 2:00 pm eastern time.

here's another clip that shows my hot bar and all the stats, as you can see there is no issues with my train system. i have the part where all trains combine split the oncoming and off coming lanes with one way lanes and properly re-combine them to the exit.

ive never seen this issue before but ill say this people can exit and enter with ease. only when traffic out side my city is not blocked.

If more information is needed like stats of my city/ or layout of my city I can make a clip of anything that is needed to solve this.

I just want my almost 100% train traffic flow back. I’d be willing to help with anything.

I have some more clarification too about this issue and what it’s affecting, in terms of out side city traffic spawning like planes (I recently unlocked it and tried it), it seems there’s a cap or a limit to how much specialized vehicles can enter.

Ex. I had about 12 tourist train stations running, all bringing in about 10 to 30 trains every 3 to 4 mins (again no traffic issues in my city in terms of train traffic) it’s seems to be there’s a limit to how many trains/planes/ships (idk about ships because I’m not close to connecting my map to a shore line yet) but just with those 2 sources of transportation it seems most likely there’s a cap to how many times a vehicle can enter and a cap to how many can leave in a certain period of time.

Another thing to note: I had so many trains coming in to my city that soon the trains started only transporting 1 to 15 tourist out of the max capacity of a train (which is like 150 or 200 off the top of my head) basically the more trains imports out side the city the less tourist riding per train.(—— I need some answers why on that.

There are some frustrating things about this game (and every game) and this is one of them. You are not the only one experiencing this. It happens to everyone if you have played long enough and your city gets to a certain size. Every map is a little different , the map I am on now it just started happening when I reached a population around 125,000. There is nothing you (or we) can do to change what is happening outside our 9 tiles. The biggest problem is outside our 9 tiles , the first intersection these trains come to is a cluster f***. This causes the back-ups.
metacritical is correct! You can do this with your cargo trains and passenger trains. If you make a separate train track for use only within your city , those trains will not be affected by the outside traffic jam. You can make a track just for cargo or just for passenger or they both can use the same track internally. DO not connect any outside tracks to these lines and ,at least those internal trains will be able to move. Good luck!
