I posted this in the general, but it's a bit flooded. I have 1.1 installed, but it seems when try to get tribute it's still only whole numbers. Also if we could ever be able to right click on popup windows to set their status again (popup/pausegame, etc) that would be awesome.

Also it doesn't seem that people paying you tribute will ask for your help when attacked? I thought tribute meant we had to protect them? Also don't even get CB against their attacker.

I take it you mean tribute from wars? If that is the case I have logged this as a bug and we'll see what happens.

As for the tributary relationship itself. It gives an automatic improvement in monthly relations making alliances easier. We did not feel it was exactly the same as the vassal relationship in EU, which ment that de jure both sides were one country even if the vassal itself was de facto independent. Here you have an independent state who is buying off another one.

Ah, I was giving tribute to Armenia as that small minor to their north, and then taking tribute from the larger minor to my north after Armenia beat them to death. But when I went into the tribute state with Armenia it said I was 'under their protection' so I just assumed I could protect MY tributary state. But I was also in an Alliance with Armenia. Thanks for the info on the trib raising relations.

We use the term 'under protection' as it sounds mroe polite than bribe.
