I am having problems installing the 1.05c patch after I unzip the file. If I click the HoI icon, a Critical Message box opens telling me that excel file cannot be found. The same message also appears when I hit the config.eu file. If I ignore the problem, then I get the 'needs to close' box. Could someone render some assistance on this one please? Better yet, is there somewhere I can download the patch unzipped? I had no problems with the 1.05 itself nor any EU,EEP etc patches before this time. Cheers.
 
Sounds like maybe you did not unzip the patch into the HOI folder and select keep the directory structure.
 
What is it about posting on here after messing with a problem for an hour, that suddenly makes you figure out the problem on your own?

Anyhoo, unregard, I didn't have 1.05 installed first. I loaded the game and 1.05 then 1.05c on my laptop, but only the game then 1.05c on my desktop.

You do not need to DL it to the HOI folder, you need to extract it to the HOI folder (ie. Unzip it to that folder)
Depending on what program you use to unzip it, you should select "keep directory/Folder structure/Names"
and also select to overwrite all files when prompted.
