Trying an Poland WC

Hello all,

i am just trying my first WC and i decided to do this as Poland as i just like the Spot in Europe where they are and the overall Situation.

I decided that i want to stay catholic and try the PU Game within Europe.

My Current Situation in 1467 is that i got Bohema and Lithuania as an PU and Danzig and Moldavia as Vasall.

Austria-Hungary is my ally but Austria lost the Emperor to Brandenburg.
And i got an Jagellion on the throne of Castille at the moment with an Truce for 3 more years before i can declare another war.

And now some Questions came up for me...

First of all which Idea Groups should i take for the first 5 Groups or so?

I decided to go for Diplomacy at first and thinking about religion or an Military idea as 2nd Group.

And should i go for an truce Break on Castile and take the stab hit (-6) and as well the 96 AE for declaring an War or should i wait and just hope that they dont get an heir until i can declare another war and force them under PU?

It's only the begining of your WC try. So, I think you can wait later if an heir come to Castille. BTW, it's even better to PU Spain (and not Castille)...

For my own part, I like to take the administrative idea group first for the -25% bonus on core creation then Influence (and not Diplomacy) for the -25% annexion bonus and then it will all depend of your situation. You will lack alot of ADM & DIP points, so whenever you can gain some of them, do it !

Last point, try to become the Emperor as soon as possible in order to enact the Renovatio Imperii reform at the end of the game => it will help you a lot, especially if you can integrate France & England & Moscovy to the HRE.
