Chapter Two - June 2nd 1937 - August 28th 1939
Just as war was declared, Jedite launched an invasion from Manchuria. 18 divisions split into 6 Gundans. Initial fighting went in his favour... just as expected, Kuomintang moved reserve troops to the north...
Five days later a large invasion force stormed Shanghai, as soon as ready the divisions started to advance inland. An invasion to Fuzhou followed. As the forces made progress, 15 garrison divisions were shipped from Home Isles and deployed around the surrounded capital of Nanjing.
The invasion went better than expected at first... but luck started to run out. As the Kuomintang forces managed to recover and redeploy they form a front. The northern offensive came to a standstil and forces in central china were thinly spread... by mid october 60 infantry divisions and 15 garrison divisions were deployed on the front.
The following month the Kuomintang managed to launch a successful offensive and push back the invaders, but as soon as the new reinforcements moved inland, luck was starting to turn in Jedites' favor once more. Early december was marked with many victories and breaches along the entire front line, pushing the Kuomintang forces deeper inland.
On December 26, Neflite ordered occupation of Nanjing. As soon as his troops entered the city Kuomintang accepted his peace offer. China became a puppet.
Over the next two weeks, by Imperial decree, Manchukuo was reintegrated into China, and Empire of Japan returned control of Formosa, Dalian and parts of Manchuria to chinese government...
(OOC: I had big problems when i signed the peace treaty due to how patch 1.2 works, even though i started the war, germany is alliance leader and when i signed peace it was a separate peace between me and natchina, nat china joined the axis, but germany continued the war against sinkiang and xibei, after reload nat china dropped out of axis, i reloaded as china, joined the axis... but so did xibei, the became part of axis and were at war with germany at the same time... took me awhile to get this mess right. i reloaded just prior to chinese surrender, loaded china, released xibei as puppet, saved, reloaded as japan, forced china to become puppet, saved. loaded as puppet china, used allaccept cheat, joined axis, demanded territory from manchukao and japan, declared war on sinkiang, saved, reloaded as japan)
As soon as main war was won Nephlite ordered the construction of a new fleet. A total of 12 newest design carriers and 24 light cruisers was ordered... expected to be completed by August '39.

A small expeditionary corps continued inland until Sinkiang was no more. On August 24. China was ours...
(OOC: Almost messed up the game with how long it took out Sinkiang, with Germany at war, anschluss did not happen until end of August... just a month before Munich conference... was just about to reload and figure what to do when it fired up)
Over the months, the Empire prospered greatly as huge stockpiles of resources were shipped from China. Kunzite continued to improve the diplomatic position of the Empire and eventually managed to get the island of Guam from USA... relations with CCCP and Italy were significantly enhanced too.
Over the following year the army remained in coastal China and was redeployed to Siam in June, 6 divisions remain just outside of Hong Kong.
As for the Siamese group, 15 garrison divisions are spread along the border with Indochina. 12 infantry divisions are on the border with Malaya, 12 divisions are at Thom Buri naval base and 30 divisions along the border with Burma... as Europe goes into turmoil, they stand ready...
These Negaverse commanders have a sound grasp of WWII technology and tactics.
