Turkish Eagle won't unlock

Description​

I have started as the correct character, and performed all the required steps. The achievement still shows as "Possible", but won't unlock.

Steps to reproduce​

Just load my save file and check. I started as the Count of Samosata in 1066, I created an Oghuz-Greek culture, and I formed the Sultanate of Rum. I event went so far as to control all the De Jure territory, just to be sure.

I have scoured the code and here's what I concluded:

The culture called "greek" is indeed the Greek culture, which I hybridized with.

The culture called "turkish" is localized as "Oghuz", which was both my starting culture, and one of the cultures that was hybridized.

The title "k_rum" does indeed exist, maps to "Rum", the kingdom title I had as my primary title.

My best guess is that the "any_parent_culture_or_above" check is broken.

Funny that, I was attempting the same achievement, and I've got the same issue. I just happen to run a couple of mods (namely CFP and EPE), but it's not supposed to be a problem anymore, and didn't prevent me from unlocking other achievements, ever since that's compatible.

I started as the valid character, formed a hybrid Oghuz-Armenian culture, then hybridized this one with Greek. I formed Rum aaaaand... nothing. I hope this gets solved at some point.

The similarity I see with my case is that you also chose to hybridize before forming the title.

So, I loaded a previous save, before both the merge towards Anatolian Turkish culture and me forming Rum. I did it the other way around this time, formed Rum first, then hybridize. No dice, the problem isn't lying in the order of things, it seems.

I let a year tick after each decision for good measure, and still nothing.

Took a look at this, it might come from the fact that you started your achievement between 2 patches and the game have issue to track your correct original culture so sadly, you'll have to make a whole new run for it.

So it’s tracking culture by numeric ID, rather than by its symbolic name?
