Tutorial Recommendation?

This game is pretty obtuse at first pass. I don't mind a learning curve, but I really expected the "Easy Start" to walk me through at least a functional basic infrastructure build leading up to my first dome. So far, in-game instruction seems to be built around me reading every available build menu description. Kinda reminds me of EU3, but not a good way.

Can anyone recommend a good tutorial? One that *isn't* a Let's Play video narrated by some chuckle-head where 9/10 things they say are giggled-idiocies that have nothing to do with the game?

Quil18 has a tuturial on youtube. you might want to look at that. Keep in mind that his tutorial is of the pre-release build so some things might be a little different. but still a good place to start imo.

Thanks for the recommendations. Sadly, Quill's voice makes me want to break my speakers =( And he's also terrible at getting to the point ... of anything. I find his video's can be watch in 10 sec clips, skipping ahead 2-4 minutes w/out actually missing anything pertinent to the game-play. Which is why I generally don't watch them.

Yeah, I'm completely unimpressed with the complete lack of guidance provided by the devs. I guess we were supposed to watch annoying and spoiler filled streams to learn to play.
