I would like to suggest two new advisors. The names I suggest is just to get a start and I hope someone else have some better names.

Retired general: -1% army tradition decay

Retired admiral: -1% navy tradition decay

I think more types of advisors is always a good idea. The percentage would need to be lower though, to 0.5% in either increase/decay. Those percentages matter a lot in this game especially if stacked with Idea Groups.

I like the idea, only problem is we'd have to add quite a bit of art due to portrait variants.

Would you consider doubling up on roles attached to each portrait. It might make things a bit confusing for those who memorize portraits, but I suspect most people read the actual bonus when they are selecting an adviser.

What about generals/admirals giving army/navy-tradition decay based on skill level(stars) or number of pips while they are alive. That would go around the portrait problem if it is time consuming. This would be an extra benefit of them in peacetime. And they already cost something, so it wouldn't be free either. This could represent a good general passing on his tradtion to his men and country with his tactics or something like that.

These were suggestions for advisors I had gave previously:

Adm Advisors:
Bureaucrat: -0.03 Monthly Autonomy
Humanist: +10% Religious Unity
Architect: -10% Build Cost

Dip Advisors:
Colonial Planner: +10 Global Settler Growth
Ambassador: +1 Diplomatic Relations
Naval Instructor: +0.5 Yearly Naval Tradition

Mil Advisors:
Mercenary Captain: -15% Mercenary Cost
Siege Engineer: +10% Siege Ability
Drill Sergeant: +0.5 Yearly Army Tradition
