1. My save game ain't loading. It gets to the end and crashes to desktop. I'm pretty sure I'm on 1.04a.

2. I can't offer marriage for anyone other than my guy and his heir. Is this WAD or a problem? I was under the impression we were supposed to be able to offer marriage to anyone in any court, using anyone in mine.

I don't think so. Is 1.04a a public beta? I mean, I don't _think_ i have any of those installed, but, damn if I dont have the worst short-term memory, and I havent touched the game in the week since i started screwing up.

I think the Save problem was situation in 1.04a, but fixed in the latest beta.

As for the other I think that is working as designed, IIRC it was changed in a patch.
But you can ask them about that as well.
 
You can only offer marriages for someone of your dynastie, so someone who shares the same last name.

This has been the case since about patch 1.02 or even 1.01.

You will get offers from people who want to marry a female (what ever her last name might be) from your court. If you agree the woman will leave your court unless she holds a courtposition (Spymaster, Chanchellor, Steward).

Ok, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and applied patch 1.04, preceding the 1.04a problem, and the damn save still won't load.
 
The save game is broken and will stay it I am afraid.

You will have to start over.

patch 104 is definitely not good, that is way there is a 104a version.

The beta version you can find in the public beta subforum.

The betapatch should be applied over patch 104a.
 
You need the Beta patch.
