So I decided to start another CK game today, imagine my surprise however, when Robert 'Guiscard' de Hauteville Duke of Apulia had TWO wives, and they were both very much alive, and they both had children from him. Is this a glitch or is it just a bit of historical accuracy? Another question, is this possible to achieve in other situations, because it would help my kingdom a lot if I could attain two wives at times.

I was reading up on him a little. It turns out he married and had 2 children with his first wife, then divorced her. He re-married and had 8 more children with his second wife. So, if that is the case they might be shown as both being alive and 'married' to him to signify that he had children with them, even though he technically divorced one of them.

Theoretically you can recreate this, iirc. Suggest a few marriages at the same time. If two (or more?!) responses arrive simultaneously, you might be able to accept both. This also happens a few times to the AI - one courtier might have a couple of spouses. (In CK at least, dunno how/if things changed in DV.)

I may need clarification on this, but from my prior reading, for CK it's possible to have multiple wives during game-play. Send out a bunch of proposals, and you might get 2 (or more) accepting at the same time. In DV, safeguards were added to prevent just this occurrence.

Edit: Oops, i was ninjad by just a few seconds by Tskb18. lol

This has been fixed in DV

Robert Guiscard was indeed married two times, he divorced his first who then married a cousin him him (one of the Serlo's), his first wife was the mother of Bohemond de Hauteville, who is therefor listed as a bastard in the game.

Robert married Sichelgaita of Salerno, this to strengthen his bond with the local Lombard nobility.
