If a country (most known exampe is Burgundy) must cease to exist at some point in game (as it was in history), there is no new monarchs for this country in game (as it is no monarchs left in savegame), and last monarch stays after his death as a ruler forever (smelling really bad
. Also happens if there is a hole for some time between monarchs rule times.
Wish: if there is no monarch for the country at the moment, get random monarch, as if country arise before it's first monarch.
Workaround: If your last monarch dies, save, edit savegame to remove historicalmonarch = { } section, and you will have random monarchs.
It was hard to live for eternity with Anne of Burgundy with 2-2-2 stats, mostly addressed as "that b..tch" (now fixed, another thanx to GoTaRnR). Still many countries (Helvetia as eternal Emperor also widely known) need a way to change monarchs past their deathdate.
Way to fix: Upon death of monarch - remove this section from country. New monarch add it on his startdate.
P.S.: (Credits) Workaround first described to me by Denis II from russian forum.
