The ruler is supposed get new luminary trait after finishing the ascencion tree, that makes him immortal. But even after 60 years after the tree was completed, no event happened. I dont know if it is because the new genetic trees dont count for the event, but it is almost impossible to trigger that event in this version of Stellaris. With science being completely overtuned, it is now primitive to make the ruler live for 500+ years and ever triggering the event that way.
Overall, i think Under one rule should be revisited, fixed and tweaked.
Many event choices, like removing egalitarian population does nothing.
The first event by colonizing planet and chosing monument should be changed. Rich monument is just better than humble monument and it forces the planet to be unity generator, otherwise the bonus is almost useless, as unity from jobs is negligible, while being extremely expensive for start of the game. Making residental monument the only real choice, as it costs nothing and getting free amenities and housing is better than +5% unity from jobs or the much more expensive version of it.
The Cybernetic and Genetic Immortal luminaries should get buffed, as getting +25% resources from jobs from synths is just insane. Or just nerf that bonus.
With the clone option for leaders, when Luminary bloodline leader dies, it triggers event for new luminary leader, but because the clone gets active, you now have two luminary leaders. Funny, but not how it should work in my opinion. Also i have no idea how it would work if the One ruler died while having Clone backup, as it is almost impossible to do it.
The other options than going imperial should be more viable, as now most of the bonuses from the origin are in the Imperial path. It does not need to be super strong, just a reason why would you join the rebelion and kill your ruler, which is the reson you play the origin in the first place.
