So I just got a new computer build. I installed EUIV fresh on the new computer and I keep getting the exact same cash message when I start the program. Either thru the Launcher no mods (and with mods) or directly from the Game Folder. I have tired the usual. Making EUIv.exe an exception in Virus software. Completely deleting including the folders and reinstalling and re steam validating and running with no mods. Running as admin. Disabling Cloud saving and steam overlay. Nothing seems to work. All my drivers are updated including my Graphics Card to the December 2022 update. Windows up up to date. Since its a new build.

Not sure what to try next, after looking thru the Forums.

I've never seen any of our games crash with a C00000FD error before. I'm pretty sure you have a corrupted game installation or a severe Windows problem, I'm afraid!

Does this also affect Stellaris and HOI4?

HOI IV is fine played an almost full game with Germany. Have not tried Vic 3 or Stellaris. I have not played or tried a lot of games and programs. But this is the only one giving me issues. Everything else is running much better on this new build. Its only EUIv giving me issues with the 5 games I have tried. I will try to run an older version of EUIV and uninstall again. Because I already did one complete uninstall and reinstall of EUIV.

So I due a Second wipe and reinstall vrs. 1.33.3. But this time I start it up and don't use the launcher first. Guess what it works and I can play. However no DLC are activated. I go to play thru the launcher. Get the old error. I try disabling all the DLCs unit packs and running. Ect. Same Crash error. Then try to launch from the .exe directly that worked before. Get the same crash. So somehow the launcher changed settings that is causing me to crash that EUIV.exe when installed freshly does not cause.

I run the System File Checker tool. I did have corrupted files which are fixed. I uninstall a third time and reinstall with the most recent version (1.34). still have the same issue error as before (files below). Run the File checker again. Nothing is wrong. So the corrupted files were not causing the issue.

So its EUIV that is the issue. Not a bad EUIV install or Windows install from everything I can tell. It appears to be a configuration also since I was able to get EUIV to run at first. So 4 installs of EUIV and have the same issue.

I have no idea what to due.

I fixed the issue. I unsubscribed to all mods. Even though I removed all mods before reinstall and never ran a mod in the playset with any of the fresh installs. Somehow a mod I had scribed to that was re-download when I reinstalled EUIV was causing the issue. So someone how a mod was loading up even though it was not selected. And I had never run that mod before with that install. I have no idea how that happens.
