Unhandled Exception detected

When trying to run the game I get a messagebox which says "*** unhandled exception detected!" and the following is written to exceptions.log.

I am running windows 7, CK & DV installed as per the forum sticky with the patch.
Path is c:\games\CK


Anybody have any idea what this could be?

No idea, but I'm getting it too, using windows XP, the latest patch and DV. Not every time I run it, but periodic CTDs with the same message.

Does this happen when you start the game ? Or when you are already playing the game.

For me, it's during the game. I haven't yet identified a particular action or event that seems to set it off, though.

If it happens during gameplay and you have made sure to have installed the latest beta-patch then there is not much I can do. See this thread.

This is what I gen on Win7 every time with every setting when I try to start the actual game. (After selecting settings and which count I want to play it when I click the start button, back screen and a popup with exception.) The music keeps on going.
