Unhandled Exception: PRIV INSTRUCTION at starting the map always.

Sorry I guess I hijacked someone elses thread, so here it comes again.

This is what I get on Win7 every time with every setting when I try to start the actual game. (After selecting settings and which count I want to play it when I click the start button, back screen and a popup with exception.) The music keeps on going.

Try these things

- Rename your AVI-folder (in the main crusader kings folder) to something else (like AVIback f.e.)

- Go into the settings.txt file and make sure the resolution there matches what your video card/monitor can support. When in doubt set it to 1024 X 768 refresh 60.

- Set colourdepth to 16 bit

Thanks a lot for the fast reply and sorry that I wasnt clear for the first time. Based on your reply I think I was misunderstood (however I tried them just to stay on the safe side.)

At clicking on the start on the next picture will I get the crash:

Yesterday 2 try I manage to start up the game so I kind of dont know what is the root cause.
