I don't know, if this is already in the game, but when i was a soldier in a tank, i would probably be more stressed, if my tank gets some shots out of a concealed position, than when i know, from which direction the shell comes.

That would give also AT guns a slight advantage.

What do you guys think, would it make sense?

I think that might be already implemented in a way since the ambushing unit aims, shoots and gets spotted afterwards.
It thus has already a certain supression advantage.

Yeah that should be easily coded aswell, just do an if statment devs! :p

As a fellow tanker, I agree. One of the worst feelings a tanker (and by extension, any soldier, though atleast an infantryman is somewhat stealthy, while driving a tank is like announcing "I'M HERE" to the enemy) can have is being shot at, but having no idea where the enemy is. I mean, if you can locate the enemy, training kicks in and you turn to face him, return fire, deploy smoke, retreat to cover, etc. But it can throw some serious wrenches in the works, if you've no idea where the fire is coming from.
