Units WEAK after patch....read

I just got HOI since it looked good and i started off in 1939 and conquered most of europe but there was lots of bugs and once i lost a full army for some unknown reason most likely a bug. I i decided to check for a patch. I found the 1.6 patch and installed it. I started in 1936 everything seemed fine i liked the new stuff. However once 1939 came and i attack poland as i would usually in the 1.0 game it all went to hell. I lost very quickly. My units even though highly upgraded was just cut through like they was paper. At one point i hit the polish with 10 panzers and 10 infantry with bomber support and i lost all that to just 2 polish infantry. There is something seriously wrong with the patch it makes all my units very very very very weak. I stated a new 1936 game just to see how weak the are. I attacked denmark with everything i have in 1936 even battleship support. I couldn't even kill that one yes one and only one infantry divion in denmark. However he managed to kill everything i had.....


What the HELL is going wrong here ??!?!?!!??!

nothing i wrong , combat works , do you have 100 % dissent ?

Did you have any leader assigned to your unit with the ability to command the number of divisions equal or higher to your number used?

For instance Field Marshal can command 12 divisions without any penalties.

If not, you will get such a large penalty that few enemy units may defeat you easily.
