Y have 1.00 version of the game and my OS is WinXP Professional Edition.

I install the game but when running the Autorun only the option INSTALL is avaible. That is very strange but there is more. When loading the game it says UNKNOWN STRING WANTED everywhere there would be text! And when traying to apply de 1.01 patch it says that CK is not installed!!!

Also, the game is intalled in a folder called Victoria and when I want to uninstall it, it says Unistall Victoria!

This is very strange. Do you guys know what is the problem and how fix it?

Pirate hunting is to be left to MODS only, as per the warnings given in the gen. Disc forum.

It does beg the question of where you purchased such a strange version?

What are the logos on the cd?

Why don't you quit while you are ahead here. ;)
 
I found this:

"The installer recognizes your language and tries to install it accordingly. But the game seems to be designed for English only. So in French for instance the installer said I was installing Victoria and then the autorun said "Two Thrones" (i.e other Paradox games). It does not install all text files ("config" diectory) because they do not exist in your language."

This is what happened to me. Can this be the problem?
 
Please answer my question above what are the logos on your CD?
