Unknown String Wanted

Just a few days ago I downloaded the last EUII patch (v1.08) but it has some problems with the name of some countries and events 'cause when it appears a new country (that didn't existed in other patches like v1.04) it is called :"UNKNOWN STRING WANTED"
How can I solve it???

When exactly do you get that error? Starting the game up, loading a scenario, loading a save game? Are you using a mod of any sort?

It usually means there's a mismatch between the text.csv file and the eu2.exe version.

Well I used to play with the EUII v.104 patch. I downloaded the last patch from this site and I continued with the save game i was playing.
The problem is that new countries that didn't existed in the previous version of the game appear with the name "USW". Also some events appear with that name.
I thought that happened 'cause I continued with a save game from the old patch, but I started a new GC with Austria and it DID happened again.

I suggest you completely uninstall the game - there's a guide on this in a sticky thread in the Tech Support forum - then reinstall EU2 then 1.08.
