Unknown String

Since installing the latest update, most of my events now come with the illuminating title - unknown string. Whist this doesn't seem to effect gameplay it would be nice to know exactly what the event is supposed to be. Any thoughts? :rofl:

Try completely uninstalling the game, then reinstall and put the patch on top of this new install.

Alternatively unrar the 1.05RC on top of your game. I do not believe there were any differences between it and the patch other than localization.

I have come upon the 'unknown string wanted' as well. I also have the english version. Don't quite know what the first even is...obviously but here are the screens:

Sometimes I have this problem when reinstalling the game. It then thinks it is Victoria and looks in the wrong place for the message resources. Try your regristry, perhaps there is a wrong link there...

Are you sure you don't have any mods installed, either at the moment or at some earlier point? If you have, then a total reinstall might do the trick.

The Black Magic event definitely works all right and that other event looks fairly common as well, so it's in all likelyhood a local problem. Total re-install is recommended by myself as well.
