Where are we with Beta 6?
I promised it would be uploaded in early February. With the exception of the fact the game won't play ... I am on-track for that upload.
Here is some of the main contents of Beta 6 to whet your appetites.
1. Bughunting Gone Wild
Thanks to Aegnor's program, I have not only been able to correct a lot of unknown bugs, but I was led to discover many others, things his program would not find, lots of disconnects that appeared OK to a computer.
2. Tlemcen Is In
Goodbye Tunis, Tripoli and Algeria. Well, until Tlemcen breaks apart. Well, unless a player guides it to conquer Sicily and reform the Almohad Empire. Fun stuff. Especially all the Piracy events.
3. More for Gaul
France can now be formed by Auvergne and Guyenne, completing the cycle. Added a cycle of events for the League of Chillon, basically the Savoy-led response to a re-emergence of France that attempts to challenge it and limit its growth and claims. The cycle is in the reborn epochal_gaul file.
4. Wessex and York
Added lots of events, leaders and monarchs for York and Wessex. Both of them can grow to become Arch-duchies and eventually take on the mantle of England, though they will both remain themselves, not become England. However, they both can get the biggies, Malborough, Wellesley and Nelson, because great men will do great things no matter what else happens in the world.
5. Caliphate
Lots more little events written by Calipah and I. God we love that file.
6. Province_Religions
Completed these alternate reformation events for the Gallic, Dutch and British Isles provinces.
7. Haudenosaunee
There will be stage one of the new re-write of Haudenosaune. More leaders and events. Nice stuff.
EDIT: 8. Changes to Cordoba to revise the Infidel King cycle.
And then a ton of little things that I cannot remember. Hundreds of minor tweaks and upgrades.
