Update 1.10 won't install

I've downloaded the 1.10 update patch but when I run it it responds with the message that "Europa Universalis is not installed on this computer, this update will now terminate". I'm in Australia and downloaded the UK version of the patch as we normally get the UK version of games. The games has been installed in C:\Games\Europa Universalis, that is not the default directory, however I did try copying the patch to that directory before running it. Mind you if it will only update the game in the default directory when you can install it anywhere that's extremely sloppy programming,

what's the name of the publisher on the box? The patch WILL install correctly even if the game isn't in the default path.

Here in Holland we normally also gets the UK-version of games, but i need to install the german-patch in order to update my game. On the cd it says "English Version", so try the other patches too.

Thanks for that, the North American version of the patch worked. I'm afraid that one of the problems with living in Australia is that game companies never seem to bother to tell you which version of their game you've got,

I had the same problem here, in Quebec. I was solde the UK version instead of the NA version Had the same problem as you, but I was fortunate as just before I posted I saw someone else with the same problem and the given solution
