It doesnt detect the game is installed on my comp, i have the cd in cdrom drive, and i've even tried reinstalling, i'm running win 98 and i've been able to play the game just fine so does anyone know what the prob is?

nah that didnt work either, i have the US version, i tried installing the UK update and it DID install but it also didnt detect my cd, lol, ahh well, damn computer..
EU CD not found!

Just today I bought the EU game. And I had the same problems that the other had. I am using an NT system. First i get had the STRING_NOT_FOUND error. Then I killed the task, and installed the patch 1.08 UK. However, this time I had CD not found error. Exactly the same as Downer777. I even tried to re-install the game and install patch for NA, but I the patch could not find the game installation.
Any comments???

The US and UK version use different copy protection and are therefore not compatible with each other so if you mix them up you will get the 'no cd' error. If your game box has a Strategy First logo it is the US version, if it has a KOCH logo it is the UK version.

Which version went to the EU Beta testers? I got mine today and tried to apply the 1.08 North America patch, but it couldn't find the game. I hate to try downloading a bunch of different patches to try them all.
