Found a link at your pages: Europa Universalis UK 1.09 update
But trying to open the page - "page cannot be found" now for two days. You have to excuse a newbie for making a question that I'm sure is answered somewhere (I find this forum a little confusing due to it's layout), but could you tell me is there an update 1.09 or what's with the page?

Does this update do the same as the update file I found in the following post:
"Here You will always find the latest availaible update of the user contributed 'Improved Grand Campaign' mod.
Please read the readme carefully before installing. Enjoy!

The first patch is removing some bugs from the program. Click on the download page (at the top of the website-screen) and then click on the patch you need. Then you should download a program that installs the new patch.

The second is different and is about the IGC. This is a very good adaptation of the game. With IGC you can play every country you want (instead of the limited number of countries in the GC). More information about the IGC can be found in the scenario-forum.

Strange. When I click on Downloads at the top of this page I come in a new page. Then when I click on the blue "Europa Universalis-1.09 UK.exe", my browser starts to download that program.

Maybe they are to big ? Baltic.exe is very small. Sometimes companies set a restriction on the downloading of large files. Or there is not enough room on your HD ?
 
I confirm, the link does work so it must be a problem at your end, which unfortunately means we can't be very helpful. Without knowing what computer you have, what's on it, what server you're on and what firewalls they might be running, the problem could be damn near anything :D

Even if you can send it, he probably can't receive it for exactly the same reason.

Got the file allright, now it's only to install it which should be no problem.
BTW, our download limit is 500 M so this isn't the problem why I can't download it from the download page. And still, I can't get to the download page let alone to try and download.

But, thanks to Jos, I'm a happy girl today!
