Memory is very cheap these days. It is one of the best investments to upgrade if you are on a tight budget.

Depending on your operating system, you want as much memory as you can get.

For example if you are on XP you want 512!

On ME 128 is okay but 256 is better.

On 95/98 you can use 128.

So you can see that 64 is really below spec today.

I guess the answer in a round about way is to add as much as you can. ;)
 
ME can handle 256 no problem.

That was my point, if you do not have much ram, that is the most bang for the buck upgrade wise.
