1) I am playing Apulia-->Sicily and after becoming King of Sicily I have quite a lot of counts now - how to get good and loyal counts to duke position?
(I have created titles)
I select grant title but in person menu i see only my non-vassal court members - no counts.

2) a separate question about diplo-vassalization - is it in the same way as in EU3 that before that you have to had marry someone to them and ally - and then the odds will go up - just asking seems to yield nothing - though my prestige is over 600.

Ok i found about nbr 1 - I have to click my vassal Coat of arms and there grant title...

But how to I withdraw a claim on my vassal land?

No, it doesn't work like that in CK. What exactly the criteria are for someone to accept your offer it unknown. But these help

1. Have a good reputation
2. Have high prestige
3. Have a high diplomacy rating
4. The count you want to vassalize is at war and losing that war

But if someone accepts your offer, you will get badboypoints. It is much better to let them ask, to become your vassal, since that way you don't get BB.

To make someone ask to become your vassal, you have to make sure you have the higher (duke or king) of which the county is part of.

You can only withdraw a claim on vassal (or on anyone else) through war. In the peace-offer you can decide to give up your claim. The question is though, why would you give up a claim ?
