Not sure if this is a bug, but my game wasn't doing this when I first put the dang thing in.

This is a recent issue, and I have no idea where it came from. My US population is too liberal. So liberal that they're elected the Free Soil Party, joining it's ranks in such numbers that the Democrats become marginal. This has happened in two subsequent games.

Historically, the franchised US population wasn't this liberal - I have Full Citizenship being the primary issue in south carolina, for the love of God. How can I change this?

Aside from that, parties aren't deactivating. The "Union Party" even is supposed to deactivate the Republicans, but there they are, winning elections.

I've noticed huge swings in political alleigiance too, like 70% suddenly becoming socialist, but then swinging back to liberal before the election campaign even ended (and I really wanted the socialists to be in charge)
