V:R patch for the CD version

I ordered a copy of Vic:rev cd.
It was quickly shipped (1 week, great job! ) and now I'was checking for the available updates (as reported in the VIC forum)

I can connect to gamersgate.com with their Download Manager, but it reports that I've bought no game (of course, I bought it at paradoxshop..) , so I cannot see any update available to download.

Questions:

- Is it possible to download the current patch for people who bought the CD version of V:R ? If Yes .. HOW ?

- will be any other updates available in the standard way ? (download from PDox web site)

It's already patched. 2.01 came out in August. The CD shipped in October.

It will say that it is updating to 2.00, but you should notice a 2.01 in the upper righthand corner when you start the game.

Since patches for the GG-version of Doomsday didn't work with the CD version (and vice versa) without a good deal of messing around, any future CD patches will presumably be available via the standard method.

I guess it's better to have the patches and hotfixes available for easy download regardless of gamersgate or online shops. Sometimes, you have to go through so much trouble for a game, plugin or update that it becomes quite a lot easier to make an illegal download, which is a very saddening situation.

The only patch that exist is the patch for Gamergate version of VR.

There is a hotfixes availably for you, see the signatur to OHgamer.

The problem when exporting save games which do not completely load in HOI2D. I have exported several games from V:R now, only to have them hang while loading in DD. Asking and looking around the boards, it looks like this is a problem with the GG version of Revolutions, which is fixed by the patch. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the GG patch...it's kind of a long story, but basically, my brother set up his GG account and downloaded Revolutions for me for my birthday, but he has now shipped out and isn't really available to download the patch for me. As I said in the other thread, he probably has other things on his mind more important than whether or not his kid brother gets to play a computer game. I don't want to have to email or write him a letter that says:

Dear Brother,
We all miss you and hope you are safe, can't wait until your time is up and you're home. BTW, what is your username and password do Hagie can play his stupid computer game?

Try to PM Florian and explain him the situation. Maybe he can help.

I did a clean install two times in this order;

Installed Victoria
Patched to 1.04
Installed Revolutions

And still when i start the game, I never get 2.01, It is still 1.04 but Revolutions is Installed and fully playable! For some odd reason i just can't get it to 2.01 and was wondering if anyone else had this problem, Is it common and is there a patch for 2.01? Although yes i know Revolutions should 2.01....Grrr pullin ma hair out

CD version or GamersGate download? The only Revolutions that would show version 1.04 would be one downloaded last year before the patch was integrated.

I have the same problem, but it's Gamersgate. When I go to gamersgate, there is no patch link there. I would like to assume it's 2.01, so I can do the hotfixes/VIP. Any ideas?

The version of the game that you get from GG is already patched to 2.01 as is the CD so the patch is no longer posted there. Only if you downloaded it a year ago would you have the unpatched version (2.00 but shows 1.04 on the menu screen). If you have the original version just download it again to get the updated version.
