v3.10.4 [e9b6] Old Save not loading properly, crashes after a single day

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I have a save from last year that I tried to open on the current patch. When loading in, I can see the galaxy or any individual system but there are no pops on any planets, nor any empires on the galaxy map screen. Unpausing the game prompts an election, after which the game freezes and crashes. Other files load and play correctly. I looked into the save file and rolled back my DLC to only those I had installed when I was playing this game, same crash. Attached I have a screenshot of how the galaxy looks, plus the save file, and the crash files.

It is not uncommon for there to be compatibility issues between major patch versions, which I'm pretty sure is what you are seeing here.

So depending on when last year you started this game, you should revert to the game version at that time to continue it:

That's done in the Steam Betas tab for the game. Of course you'd need to load the save as it was then, NOT one updated by the current patch!
