Vae Victus

I downloaded the expansion from GamersGate, got all excited, now after installijng and trying to play the game I get an error saying "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue the App will ignore this errorr and attempt to continue. If you click Quit the App will close immediately.

THe App has failed to start becase its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

So, what do I have to do to play the game? Or does this mean it won't work on my comp and I wasted my money? Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

You'll probably find more help in the Tech Support forum. I'd suggest un-installing and then re-installing both of them.

I have the same problem. I have the DVD for Rome, and that runs fine. When I download Vae Victus, install it, and run it I get the same error message.

Both worked fine under Vista 32 but I have just upgraded to Vista 64 (have tried running in XP mode) and it now does not work. Put in a new hard drive so it was a clean install.
