I have hard time understanding how culture change works for valyrians. I'm playing the Conquest scenario with the Celtigars, a valyrian dynasty. So far I only had High Valyrian heirs, even though some of my cadets switched with no clear reason to west valyrian (education? local culture?). But this time I had a bad surprise, my grand some is born west valyrian (his mother was high valyrians and his father, east valyrian, matri wedding). It's lucky became a dragon rider, if I am to lose the High Valyrian trait. But can someone explain to me how the valyrian culture works? Is there anything special with it? Is it related to the blood line (like if both parents aren't high valyrian the kid ends up being something else...).

Side questions: I have tamed my first dragon, but I feel like it's far from enough for the long run, can I tame other dragon if I embark to Asha'i? What would happen to my other dragon if I tame a new one? Can my kids or relative tame the dragons I gave up if I get new ones?

Over time High Valyrian families except for the Targs, Blackfyres and Velayrons will naturally drift to either west or east Valyrian depending on their location.

You can only have 1 dragon at a time.
