Vassal fighting war against liege can become regent

Description​

My current ruler is a child in a regency. He is in a Liberty civil war. The leader of the revolt against his rule was named regent upon the death of the previous regent. The war has not ended.

Steps to reproduce​

1) Have a regent die.
2) Be in a Liberty Civil War
3) It is possible that the leader of the revolt can become regent.

Additional note:

Winning the civil war and putting the regent in prison doesn't remove them from the position of regent. I had to execute the regent to remove her from power.
