Very Precise Install Instructions needed for Steam users

Could someone please spell out in VERY detailed terms how to install this game so that it actually functions? I installed to AOD on steam and was able to play, but the tech tree was messed up and didnt allow me to research anything other than the theoretical tech lines, meaning i could never get armor, motorized infantry, etc. I then tried to patch the game and it corrupted my AOD install and of course made Iron Cross not work at all!!!

My install went something like this:

AOD from steam
Iron Cross
Played for a bit, but game was ultimately really bugged.
Patch 1.01
Patch 1.02

tried to play, and now it doesnt work.

So please, map out the folders i need to select, what specific patches or revisions i need, because this thing is a nightmare to install. seriously, why is it this hard?!?!

ok so i have looked through tons of posts and cant seem to get this to work properly. I can get arsenal of democracy to work with the 1.01 patch, but when i try to patch it to 1.02 it corrupts the install. I have tried this about 5 times and cant seem to get anywhere. seriously, anyone have any ideas?

mine works but i get errors in production lines once i save and try to go back into the game causing me to remove the errors mannually which is annoying.

i would say install aod then the iron cross then the iron cross patch... but thats what i did and i got the above errors.

Hi

Steam users:
- Install your DH or AoD game
- Find in the steam folder the DH/AoD game
- Select the game, copy and paste in other path (like c:\hoi2)
- Update AoD/Dh game in c:\hoi2 (you need download the patch from the aod/dh forums)
- Install Iron Cross in the new path (c:\hoi2)
