vic 3 keep crashing

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
crashes consistently. can get an hour or 2 out of single-player without crashing but seems to CTD all the time in MP.


Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
msi b450 tomahawk MAX II motherboard
Ryzen 5 3600 CPU
Raden RX 6600 8GB GPU
16GB RAM

already tried fixing the crashes with lowering game settings and disabling fullscreen optimizations.
have no issue running other paradox games. don't know why vic 3 is giving me so many headaches :/

Sorry, are you saying it DOES crash after an hour or two of solo play?

Are these crashes repeatable from a given save file, whether MP or solo?

After one, can you load up that save and carry on okay for a while?

And, under Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/crashes, are there any .dmp files?


DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .

there is a dmp file i will attach it.

If there are .dmp files, this is likely a game bug I'm afraid. I can't read them but you ought to post them in a new thread in Bug Reports. Odd though that we see no crash in this game recorded in that dxdiag.

What we do see there are some LiveKernelEvent entries, and one bluescreen (BSoD). Have you seen those happen, are they related to this game or somethign else? If you get another BSoD record the text on taht screen for us please.
