Hello, I recently upgraded my windows to 11 from 10 and my game seems to crash without a crash log or anything. Before I upgraded my windows version I had no problems, no crashes, no lag or anything. Now when I play Singleplayer or multiplayer my game crashes without any problems showing beforehand and when it crashes it just dumps me on my wallpaper without any crash logs or anything. This has been happening for about a week. I have reinstalled my game, verified game files, installed the new net frameworks and C++ redistributable files and nothing seems to work. Althrough my game crashes pretty often I have gotten only 1 crash log folder. It was on the 09/04/2023 but before that my game crashed aswell and it crashes still without any new files.
Please help!

Happens for me as well in windows 10. I have some small cosmetics mods so not sure if it's due to vanilla or mods -> happens sufficiently rarely that it's not unplayable

I don't think its mod related because I have been using these mods for about 2 months now and haven't had problems before, also the game crashes without mods as well.

Disabling mods does not remove effects they have already had on the save game file. Does this happen in a campaign that's never had any mods used in it?

That will be an unrelated issue then. Please make your own thread with full problem history and system details, thanks.

No need, I seen this issue is with Nvidia, I tried all the steps u guys mentioned in other fórums and not helped at all. And since i cannot make a crash report I cant help you with this. Also im not a beta tester mate... When you come out with this 100% Nvidia issue a few patch later I might play this beta game again....

On my side, crashes can happen when i'm zooming in / zooming out the map, notably when going from the paper map to the detailed city view map. It does not always occur, I would say like once every 1.5 hour of game.

There are never crash logs that are generated, and Windows alert "program is not responding" never occurs as well. Loading an autosave generally allows to continue the game (except for one game as Japan which crashes constantly in 1890)

I have a computer between minimal and recommended requirements (RAM at minimum requirement: 8GB).

Since RAM usage is often maxed out when playing the game i'm guessing that this is due to RAM

Something like 2/3 of our users have nVidia, as do most of the developers. I think we'd know if they all had this problem!

I note a new nVidia driver came out today, so if you believe that's related to the problem, try that.

That could be I suppose. Try unloading every other app you can before starting the game, AND expand your Windows paging file maximum size to AT LEAST 32gb

Let us know if that helps!
