Olá pessoal, instalei o jogo mas não consigo jogar. Já tentei de tudo ou não... não sei o que fazer. Algum moderador pode usar o TeamViwer comigo para resolver meu problema? (I´m brazilian, so my PC is in portuguese)

English only in these forums please!

We do not offer a dial-up remote repair service I'm afraid, we'll have to work with you here as we do with anyone's problem.

Please go here:
And run the x86 and x64 installers there.

IF that doesn't help, Has the game ever run OK on this computer? Or never?

IF NEVER:
Install ALL these Microsoft modules:
(run dxsetup.exe after extracting this download to its own folder anywhere on your computer)

Add Victoria3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

IF IT USED TO WORK:
Please do a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-Vic3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Vic3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add Victoria3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Vic3 or Documents Vic3 locations, before installing again.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Good Morning, @AndrewT
Thanks for answering my request for help. Sorry for not post in english. I clicked ctrl+c wrong in google translate.

I´ve tried before the same guide, installing everything that you send to another person, but doesnt worked — propably i did something wrong. I unistalled all Victoria 3 and all the files you listed. Now I´ll repeat the process, install these programs and then install Victoria 3 again.

Since I'm not very computer savvy, if none of this works, could you use TeamViwer or another moderator to help me solve the problem? This game, in my country's currency, is quite expensive.

As I said, we do not offer such a service.

didnt find the others documents... I dont know how to find them.
In File Explorer click on Documents in the left column. In the right pane you'll see Paradox Interactive, double click on that, then on the Vic3 folder.

There's no clear cause of this problem in that dxdiag, although there are a few Windows errors. What happens if you run Victoria3.exe directly from File Explorer? Any new Windows errors show?

The forum doesnt support the files but theres is the link. file:///C:/Users/Saulo/OneDrive/Documentos/Paradox%20Interactive/Victoria%203/pdx_settings.json
I followed the steps you said. Vic 3 logs documents folders arent there or doesnt exist (system.log , error.log , exceptions.log)

I started the game directly victoria3.exe but the same bug occurred before. The map has a big blur.

That's not a link, it's a file path on your machine which I have no access to. You can just rename the file to end in .txt to attach it here.

There is no /logs/ folder there at all, are you saying?

Hello. Sorry for the delay. I was without my laptop these days. I converted the .json file to .txt and now its possible put it here.

Apparently, after I started the game directly in victoria3.exe, the log files you asked for appeared, but the "exception.logs" did not, in the Paradox documents. I'll attach them here.

The only "exception" file that appears is an empty folder with that name

If those logs did not exist before running victoria3.exe , that means our launcher did not even attempt to start the game. Really not sure why that would be.
in this folder are some .log files:
C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
Please attach them here.

I don't know why the game looks so bad when you run it from victoria3.exe directly. You could try updating that nVidia driver to November 2022 https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Good morning, afternoon, evening. I´ll try update my nVidia driver now. (done)

Do you need something in that folder red marked in the print?
Here is the logs you asked for:

Edit: nVidia driver updated, restarted my pc, I tried again to start vic directly and the same bug ocurred (big blur). Starting the game in Steam didnt worked (same error)

No.

From those logs there is a Windows permissions issue with the launcher. That is usually an antivirus app getting in the way. What antivirus app do you use? You need to make sure all these apps are in its exceptions lists:

Victoria3.exe (in the Steam Victoria3-binaries folder)
dowser.exe (in the Steam Victoria3-launcher folder)
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2022.14/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

IF that doesn't help, also set each of those .exe files (EXCEPT Victoria3.exe !) to run as the Windows Admin user.

Then the game should run from Steam/our launcher, and enable all the DLCs.

I did everything you said. Put all the .exe files as admin user and i remove the option to run Victoria3.exe as Windows Admin User, that was enabled.

Trying now to run the game in Steam
