Victoria 3 Won't Acknowledge my Paradox Account, Can't play Multiplayer

I cannot Host or Join multiplayer games in Victoria 3 as the launcher detects my login but does not transfer or send it to the game itself

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
The launcher indicates I am both logged into the launcher and my steam account is linked to my paradox account, I have ensured both of these are true throughout this process.

When I click play, I am informed that I do not have an account and must create an account, there is a gear rotating that says "logging in" but it does not log me in. My wife is able to connect on the same network but not me.

I have followed the steps outlined in Launcher Issues Troubleshooting as found in Victoria 3/Bug Reports of these forums.

I have performed the steps as outlined in this post as well.

I am able to load into Stellaris just fine with the same actions performed to access Stellaris in the launcher as performed to access Victoria 3

We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close Vic3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box
- Select Ok
- Start up Vic3 and should work.

Disable all other network adapters
Go to Windows Control panel.
Click on Network & Internet.
Click on View Network Status.
Quick Tip: You can also quickly access these settings by right-clicking the network icon in the taskbar and selecting the Network & Internet settings option.
Click on Change adapter options.
Right-click all network adapters that are not connected to the internet and select the Disable option.


Use a VPN
- Obtain a VPN
- Set the country to the US (why this works is also an enigma ><)
- Start the game
- Sign in and see if it "sticks"
