The thing is...

It's not a problem specific only to Windows XP.

I had W98 and the problem happened to me. The thing is that EU2 starts and after when Bink is supposed to launch it does, but the screens doesn't switch to Bink video. On W98, all you had to do is to press ALT+TAB to switch manually from the game to the video. Then after playing the videos (or skipping it) it would come back to EU2 and it'd be all right.

Now I installed XP yesterday and the same problem is happening to me. The thing, on this case, is that when it doesn't switch itself, if you try doing it manually, it just won't do it. With XP even if you tell him to switch manually, it won't ! The "switching screen" just stays there without switching.

So I can't play EU2. Is there a way to start EU2 without seeing those akward Bink videos ? I think that'd be the answer.

rename the AVI folder AVI_BACK.

Yeah !

It works fine ! It's sure a good temporary solution till Paradox fixes that in a upcoming patch. Thanks Viper.
