First thread!!

A small step for man...a gigant leap for BB Spamming!

And a medium sized leap for me:D So does this mean it's allowed to pile up ideas for 1914 scenario here?

Alliance setups

As I said earlier in a thread in the main fora, Japan and Montenegro should be allied to the Entente. And the German AI might need some reworking.

//M.

I got an idea which i am thinking over hard:D Should be a certain stress laid onto the Civil War in Russia? By the way, when speaking of 1914 Scenario do we speak that it will end up in 1920 or later?

1920, when game ends.

Thankyou:)

IMHO VIP should be designed to asume that the game ends in 1920, but events (such as Russian civil war events) can indeed continue to fight out after 1920 if the player wants to extend the timeline... We might, in fact, want to test something out: can deathdates be set to a point after 1920, and if so what happens? If the game will accept a 1930 deathdate (or whatever) than events like the Russian Civil War should get such a deathdate in order to ensure VIP compatbility with any time extender tweak. :)

And I think late deathdates work.... Party files have an enddate of the year 2000 for parties designed to continue until the end of the game.......

LOL, coming from GM, who started what... 30? new threads when he got his own forum :p

Anyone suggesting improvements to an already perfect scenario (and I should know, I did most of the *real* work) will be shot. :p

I believe Vicky engine works here like EU does - that is it doesn't really much care of the exact deathdate and whether it fits in the timelimit of the game, i assume.

Shouldn't the game go into 1925 at least? The peace deal with Hungary was signed in 1921, while I know Turkey also had a war with Greece and they signed a peace deal later...

Treaty of Lausanne was signed in 1923. VIP does does not officially extend time period of game.

Well, here's a proposed improvement!

<dives into trench to avoid fire from Arkestra's firing squad>

I think it would add greatly to the 1914 scenario to have it start after the murder of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914.

Then there would be a series of events, regarding DOWs and mobilizations, giving the players the choices that faced the countries in question:

Perhaps something like this:

Austria: Send or not send ultimatum to Serbia. (Great loss of prestige if not).

Serbia: Deny or accept the Austrian ultimatum (Great loss of prestige if accepted, Austria DoWs if not)

Russia: DoW Austria in support of Serbia or not? (Great loss of prestige if not)

Germany: DoW Russia or not? (Great loss of prestige if not).

Germany: Implement Schlieffen plan of not? If not, no war against Belgium and no DoW on France.

France: If Germany didn't DoW, then France must choose wheter to DoW Germany in support of Russia. Great loss of Prestige if not.

Britain: If Germany doesn't invade Belgium (forcing a British DoW), should Britain enter the war? Would prolly cause more unhappiness.

Italy: If France DoWs Germany, should Italy fullfill their Tripple Alliance obligations or not (Great loss of prestige if not).

to avoid all this, the scenario starts in august...;)
