Vip Mp

Anyone up for a MP of VIP, 0.4b? Unfortunately I can't host, but would love to play if possible. I guess it could be for Sundays.

I'm interested. New to Vick, ~1 week SP, experienced HoI 1/2 MP guy.

Sundays are doable. Evenings or afternoons in north america. 20GMT start time at earliest.

Great, but do you know if you can host? I could try, but there is no guarantee. I suppose that 6 EST would be okay for you? If not, suggest a time.

Yeah, I'm pretty confident about hosting. I've been decent with my HoI games.

I guess we could give it a shot with two... What time zone are you in? I'm on mountain standard.

I'm in EST, so about a 2 hour differnce. This sunday at 6 then?

I would be into it, if you can accept a European player.
My connection is DSL, 1024/128. I guess I couldn't host.
Also, my VIP is the latest, 1.04c if I remember correctly.

Just to let everyone know VIP has not been tested in a multiplayer format, and reports from earlier versions have suggested that VIP is not the most friendly format for MP play - the combination of many more events and changes in economy/colonization making the issue of game lag even more pronounced. So please be aware that we have not designed VIP with MP functionality in mind, and unless all players have really solid computer systems, the likely result will be very major problems with lag for all. This isn't to say not to try it with VIP 0.4B, but from previous reports from MP-land not to get too many hopes up.

I have tested a game with VIP 0.3b once, but that was so enormous unstable that we gave up after 5 hours trying to get through the first month...
