Hi !

I downloaded the C.O.R.E. mods Versions 0.60 & 0.64 for Hearts of Iron a while ago and versions 0.7 and 0.71 recently. I installed the 0.6x versions and enjoyed playing them alot... But now i have installed a antivirus software called "free antivirus" and it gives alarms on each of the mod files. It reports that those files are infected by a "backdoor - program BDS/IRC.Mutin.3".
Since i have just reinstalled my system i don´t want to install those files as long as i don´t know what´s up with this. Are those files from the C.O.R.E. homepage virus-checked ? Is this a mistake by my anti-virus-software ?
I´d be thankful for any useable information on this... Thanks !

BTW: I really thank those guys at C.O.R.E. for the great work they have done... Can they improve the A.I., too ?

The CORE installer is virus-free, it's a problem on anti-virus software...

All installers made with Astrum InstallWizard are incorrectly identified as having the IRC.Mutin.3 backdoor by Antivir. I've previously been in contact with the developers of the Antivir software (H+BEDV Datentechnik GmbH <virus@free-av.com>).

The C.O.R.E. team does make every effort to ensure that no malicious software is included in the package. You can always contact your anti-virus program vendor and submit files for verification if uncertain if they are infected.

Hey Pkunzipper, I think your quote is missing the response from Antivir ;)

thank you for your recent inquiry.
We could not find a virus or virulent components in the attachment you have
sent us.
Please update your version of AntiVir.

With kind regards,
