I have Vista. Game works fine, but it gets a bit annoying when you want get under the hood and install mods directly into your program files. I find I have to load into a new directory and then copy and paste. Save game files also display differently (select "compatability files" to see them.)

I bought a new laptop, with Vista, about two weeks ago, and installed CK in this order: CK - DV - October patch - TASS.

The game ran fine.

The, after a couple of days, my computer would not re-start, and it went into something called "Startup Repair". After finishing "Startup Repair", Windows removed all of the EXE files pertaining to CK, but not any of the data files, saved games, etc. No non-CK fles were affected (to the best of my knowledge).

So, I re-installed CK in the order listed above, and once again the game (and my computer) worked fine ... until this morning, when the computer went into "Startup Repair" for a second time.

Has anyone else experienced something similar to this? If so, is there any way that I can get around this problem?

Thanks in advance.
