I would laugh...But I´m so damn angry with all off this...I guess in the end it is Microsoft´s fault, and I´m not saying this because it´s easier to blame them but the fact is they didn´t seem to care about the final consumer at all. They launch an OP system like people didn´t have anything else installed in the computer...it´s something like, if it works fine, if not...they don´t care, it´s too bad, but it´s our problem.
I had vista compatibility problems with : Norton system works 2006 ( simply doesn´t work ) lost 6 month license time...paid and forever lost.
Had to buy Norton 360...more 89 euros.
Supreme Commander no sound!!! IT works on XP in a same model laptop!!! But not in Vista!
Modem driver!!!
Mouse Driver!!!
Crusader Kings!!!!! etc, etc,etc...
And the worst part is that I paid alot of cash for my Laptop, for my games and programmes and there´s nothing else to do...The games are fine work fine so no one replaces them it´s all MICROSOFT´S fault!!!
Another bad part is that, I was really looking forward to play Deus Vult! To check the new Stuff etc...And it´s only 16 euros or something like that...It would be money well spent...CK has a huge "lifespan" we can play that game over and over and over...And we only stop playing to play CK2 !
Same as HoI2, in which I have played many dozens of full campaigns and still keep playing...
However with this Vista thing CK out of the picture...Deus Vult also...Who loses? Us and Paradox! little niche companies like this just can ill afford to have this kind of loss in their player community it seems to me...
Btw I spent DEUS VULT money in another "niche company" strategy game ( download ) so in the end microsoft just costed Paradox 16 euros!
