von Falkhausen anomoly

I have had multiple issues with the techteam, minister, and leader von Falkhausen in AoD.

I recently downlaoded and installed the updated events file that corrected the issue with changed id numbers on the 1.03 patch, and Germany now correctly receives von Falkhausen when it recognizes Manchuko and recalls its mission.

Well, at least sometimes it does. In my last game, I received the techteam von Falkhausen right away, but not the leader until quite some time later (months in game time). Then, a year or two later when Nationalist China surrendered to the Japanese, the leader temporarily disappeared, and the techteam abandoned its research on the spot and I had to restart von Falkhausen's assigned research project.

But at least now I am not receiving the National Finance Ministry techteam when Germany recognizes Manchuko and I sometimes receive (although intermittently/temporarily) the leader von Falkhausen.

Is there anyway to correct this issue by modifying the events file, or by including a fix in 1.04?

I encountered the same problem with 1.04 beta.

von Falkenhausen deserted his command and abandoned his research as soon as China surrendered to Japan.

Any chance this might be fixed before the final 1.04 patch is released?

Had the same thing happen. Probably cost me the war.

Thanks for the sarcasm.

I realize that no one particular issue by itself will cost a player the war, but it does not mean that I wouldn't like to see this bug addressed. I don't like being 90% into my research and then suddenly have to start over from scratch again (costing me nearly double the IC, money, and time), and then having to reassign a land leader and wait for my organizational levels to return to normal, as well as realize any of the leadership trait benefits from von Falkenhausen while I wait for him to "take command" again. Particularly a pain in the ass if I am in the middle of an action involving forces under his command.

You may be willing to settle for imperfections like this, but a lot of others aren't. If you cannot contribute positively, keep it to yourself please.

It could reasonably cost you the war if you're China, and Falkenhausen is removed incorrectly or it could win you the war when you should have lost if he stays. It's important to get him right because he makes a big difference for the Chinese player.

Please post a save game from before the Chinese surrender.

Whenever I try to post a saved game (which is definitely below the upload file size limitation), I always receive the same error message referring to a missing security token. Could this possibly be related to my firewall or antivirus software?

Anyone else have this issue?

I have downloaded and installed 1.04. The issue seems to be resolved now; the Chinese surrendered in 1940 and I kept von Falkenhausen in command and on research.
