Deserting armies

Respect!

I don't know if it's a bug, or i am too rookie.
Date 1211, the golden horde comes. I mobilize my personal armies. It' s about 52000 soldiers. I command them to go to a province when they get there, the whole army counts only 22000 soldiers. Army upkeep at maximum, got 10000+ gold. So what?

Reload, grand mobilization. 302000 soldiers. Move, at target province 40000 soldiers.

I don't get it. PLease help. (Or send me to hell if I'm an idiot)

Each province has a supportable troop limit. Even with upkeep at max this will cause desertion/starvation i.e. attrition.

And it's not happening to the Horde, because the AI cheat on attrition...
