Two Supply issues in 1.06

I have had two seperate supply issues in 1.06.

The first is the length of supply negative modifier that is applied to troops. As the US my supply is not traced back to my allies teritory that I landed on before commencing my attacks, but boston where I loaded my troops. This makes my modifier -117 which makes it impossible to harm the Germans. The same thing happened as the italians in albania until I annexed albania. My supply line was traced back to italy instead of the local provence where the supplies were delivered.

The second issue deals with supply provided by convoys. No matter how many convoys I designate to send supplies and oil to a captured territory (annexed or not), the amounts provided are the same as for a single convoy. Thus, if I send more than a single stack of 9 mechanized troops to the provence, my troops are always out of oil and supply. For my 3 mechanized and 2 armored 9 division stacks, I had 6 max sized convoys providing supplies and oil. They would be delivered at midnight every day, never more than 35 in quantity, and gone by noon.

Same issues for me -- slightly different in each case but similar enough to be the same deal.

These may be WADs and not problems (bugs), but if they are WADs would someone please take the time to explain them (exactly why they work that way) and also -- and more importantly -- specifically how we're supposed to operate in order for things like this (-117 combat penalty ... yikes; running out of oil is no picnic either) not to happen?

I think I may have figured out why my supply was being traced back to boston.

when the vichy France event occured, the remaining french forces clustered in the south of france. Germany and vichy France pretty much ignored them. When it came time for D-Day I figured I could just land in toulon and march through france towards Germany.

Perhaps, because this territory is traditional Vichy France, it was not viewed as french territory (even though it was captured?) and thus my supply route was not re-calculated.

As for always running out of supply and oil. I managed to conquer and Annex italy as the US. (Good thing the italian troops are like wet tissue paper). And no matter how many convoys I sent with supplies and oil, I was always out. It made my advance on germany a major pain. Plus, my suppply was being traced back to the first place I ever sent a convoy after annexing Italy (sicily), instead of northern italy, so my troops were always at a major disadvantage against the germans.

Eventually, I gave up because it was just too frustrating. My troops were getting outmanuevered by the Germans, and if he ever brought more than 2 divisions to bear, my 9 couldn't beat him because of the line of supply hit.

It just seems like a good idea that went wrong.

Why do you keep on saying "And no matter how many convoys I sent with supplies and oil, I was always out." ? "No matter how many convoys I designate to send supplies and oil to a captured territory (annexed or not), the amounts provided are the same as for a single convoy. ... I had 6 max sized convoys providing supplies and oil. They would be delivered at midnight every day, never more than 35 in quantity, and gone by noon".

There is no max sized convoy in the game. There is a minimum number needed to sustain the convoy. Instead of a bunch of small convoys, you need to send one massive convoy to the supply area shown in the screen below your capital (such as Sicily). By massive I mean 200+ Try sending all your available transports and see how big the stockpile is (cancel those 6 'maximum' convoys).

One massive convoy, not several size 20 convoys. If you are sending several 20 size convoys, I don't know how this would be calculated (your example seems to indicate that it's treated as one small convoy). One massive convoy should suffice.
