Description​

Playing as Russia. I started a war for manchuria + a few other border states in central asia against qing. A few months in, the wargoals will suddenly disappear. Note I am playing with the "Great Game" objective, and at the same time my war goals disappear, I have new journal entries pop up, "The Ruler of the East". Very annoying because I have to have 5 year truce for virtually no gain, other powers chunk out Qing shortly after.

Steps to reproduce​

If you start from my save and let the game run to Nov. 30th, the war goals get erased from the diplo play menu. I think the trigger for the bug is starting a war with Qing for territory and then triggering "The Ruler of the East" to appear as an active Journal while the war is going on.

After testing a little more, I think researching Nationalism through Tech Spread is the real trigger of JE. I think the game bugs out and deletes the war goal because most of the states I declared for are claims Russia gains as a result of the JE becoming active. Since a new country got claims on the land, and because that country is me, the 'conquer state' wargoal becomes invalid because the 'correct way' to declare war for those states is now the 'return state' wargoal. I think that is why the claims in the diplo play get deleted.
